A traffic accident occurred in the capital's Nea Smyrni district: a tram ran over a 15-year-old teenager riding an electric scooter. The boy was taken to hospital with head injuries.
According to the available information, the accident occurred on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street, between the Midea-Mykalis and Scholi Evangelismou stops. The minor was hit and “dragged” by the tram. Apparently, the schoolboy lost control, and the tram did not have time to brake.
The teenager hit his head and started bleeding. An ambulance and the police were called to the scene. The child was hospitalized. He was diagnosed with head injuries, but his condition is assessed as good, with no risk to life.
