If you have debts to the tax office or other creditorsan ordinary bank account in Greece may be subject to collection, but the law provides several different types of protection: for debts to the state, the AADE stated limit of €1,250 per month applies, and from 2026, separate limits of €1,600 for an individual account and €2,200 for a joint account are established for the collection of private creditors.
