New data from a forensic examination in the case of an eight-month-old child, whose body found frozen in a suitcase in the apartment in Kipseliincreasingly contradict the parents’ version that baby died due to health problems.
According to Newsita forensic examination revealed numerous injuries on the child’s body with a sharp object.
Particularly important for the investigation is the conclusion that some of these wounds were inflicted during the child’s lifetime. This directly contradicts the version according to which the baby allegedly first died of natural causes, and the injuries appeared later when the adults tried to free the body from the frozen container.

The version of the disease is becoming less and less convincing
The parents previously claimed that the child suffered from health problems, high fever and pain.
However, new expert findings force investigators to consider the baby’s death primarily as the result of a criminal act.
As previously written “Athens News”the case was being investigated as a homicide after an autopsy revealed multiple stab wounds.
Then the examination established that the child was approximately eight to nine months old. The body was in a container inside a suitcase and was frozen.
The investigation is checking the exact sequence of events
Now investigators need to establish:
- the exact time of death of the child;
- what injuries were inflicted during life;
- who exactly inflicted them;
- where the crime occurred;
- which of the adults in the apartment could have known about what happened;
- what the other children of the family could see.
Earlier in this story, extremely contradictory testimonies from adults have already appeared. One of the defendants, in particular, claimed that the child was allegedly “switched in the maternity hospital.” The investigation did not confirm these statements.
Additional details of the case and previous stages of the investigation are available in our material about the initial results of the examination.
