“Colors of the Soul”: an exhibition of paintings and ceramics by Tatiana Kontopoulou will open in Athens

From 11 to 18 September 2026 at the cultural center “Melina” Municipality of Athens there will be a personal exhibition of paintings and ceramics Tatiana Kontopoulou “Colors of the Soul”.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, September 11, at 19:00. The project is supported by the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA).

Tatiana Kontopoulou is engaged in painting, ceramics and gardening, and in recent years she has repeatedly participated in collective art exhibitions. Her main hobby remains painting: she created her first canvas in the summer of 2015 and since then has continued to constantly work with color and form.

Her works appear not only on canvas, but also on fabrics, furniture and ceramics. In them, the artist conveys her own emotional world – bright, spontaneous and filled with color.

The exhibition is not only about painting

Tatyana is a person with a disability and is studying at the Sikiaridion Foundation, where she also studies ceramics and gardening.

The organizers emphasize that the meaning of the exhibition goes beyond the display of artistic works. The project is designed to show how important it is to support the talents and capabilities of people with disabilities.

The percentage of disability is a number, but not a definition of a person and not the limit of his capabilities.

It is this idea that the organizers propose to see through Tatiana’s works: with support and the opportunity to do what they love, a person can reveal their abilities regardless of limitations.

Curator of the exhibition – Louise Karapidaki.
