Air Force officer shoots wife and commits suicide

In Holargos A 57-year-old man shot his 53-year-old wife and then committed suicide. The woman survived and was taken to hospital “Gennimatas”.

Family tragedy happened late in the evening in the area Holargos on the street Xanthippou. According to available data, 57 year old man shot his 53 year old wifeafter which he committed suicide.

According to the preliminary picture of the incident, a man shot a woman in the leg. He then reportedly went up to the apartment where the couple lived, on 3rd floor apartment building and committed suicide. His body was discovered by team members ΔΙΑΣthere was a weapon nearby.

The police were reportedly called by a neighbor who heard shots. The woman was given first aid on the spot: a tourniquet was applied to the wound to stop the bleeding. She was then taken away by ambulance ΕΚΑΒ and taken to the hospital “Gennimatas”.
