PAOK presented a commemorative emblem for the 100th anniversary of the club


PAOK presented the anniversary logo created for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the club, officially opening a series of events dedicated to the historical milestone.

The “1926–2026” symbol will now accompany every official announcement from the club, highlighting the start of the anniversary year and the preparations for the centenary celebrations.

The motto is placed in the center of the new sign “One Century of Glory”reflecting the team’s journey from its founding to the present day, as well as the connection between generations of fans who grew up with the club.

The anniversary emblem will become one of the key components of the festive program, which will include sports, historical and cultural events throughout the year.

Thus, PAOK officially launched the celebrations of the “PAOK Century” – a year that has special emotional and historical significance for the entire black and white family of the club.

Brief history of PAOK

PAOK (ΠΑΟΚ) is a football club from Thessalonikifounded in 1926 year by immigrants from Constantinople who moved to Greece after the events of the early 20th century. Full name – Panthessalonian Athletic Club of Constantinople.

The club became a symbol for the Greek refugees of Asia Minor and their descendants. Its emblem is double headed eagle with lowered wings – refers to the Byzantine heritage and the memory of a lost homeland.

PAOK opens the season under the leadership of a new coach

At different periods, PAOK experienced ups and downs, but established itself among the leading clubs in the country. Significant success came to 1970swhen the team won titles and strengthened the sporting identity of Northern Greece.

A new stage of development began in the 2010s. The season culminated 2018–2019when PAOK became the champion of Greece without a single defeat – a historical achievement for the club.

Club owner

Since 2012 controlling stake PAOK belongs to the entrepreneur Ivan Savvidi – Greek-Russian businessman of Pontic origin.

With his arrival, the club stabilized its financial situation, strengthened its roster and returned to the fight for national titles. His period of management coincided with one of the most successful periods in the modern history of PAOK.

The figure of the owner has repeatedly become the subject of public debate, but his role in strengthening the club’s position in the sports arena remains significant.
