President Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, January 27had a telephone conversation with the President USA Donald Trump.
Reportedly, during the conversation the parties discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and the United Stateslatest events in Syriawork Peace Council on Gazaand also trade and economic cooperation with special emphasis on defense industry. The conversation agenda also included regional and international issues.
According to the Turkish Presidential Administration, Erdogan stressed to his American counterpart that Ankara will continue to take measures to strengthening cooperation between Turkey and the United States, noting that the development of relations in all areas is responsible interests of both countries.
The Turkish leader also made it clear that his country is making significant efforts to full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the process of integration in the neighboring Syria.
According to the official statement, “Expressing hope that the Gaza Peace Council will fulfill its mission, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he considers ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and its restoration a step that will open the way to sustainable peace in our region“
