According to the investigation, the alleged group leader participated in activities 20 companieswho managed gas stationwhere it was installed illegal softwarebypassed legal accounting system εισροών–εκροών (fuel inlet-outlet).
The software allowed gas station owners who were part of the network to set fuel percentagewhich each column held – usually about 10% from the paid volume.
The following is typical client conversation with a gas station employee after refueling, when she noticed that the fuel level in the tank had not changed:

Woman: “Yes, I just refueled, my light didn’t even go out and the level didn’t rise. Why?”
Employee: “What do you mean, you got gas?”
Woman: “I was with you. I filled up for twenty euros.”
Employee: “Understand”.
Woman: “But nothing has changed.”
Employee: “Perhaps the float is jammed. This happens often.”
Woman: “This didn’t happen before.”
Employee: “It’s not a breakdown, it’s just that sometimes the indicator comes on later. This happens every day.”

Client: “I know your name, I told my son…”
Member: “I’m a client. I arrive with a tank – a thousand liters, nine hundred…”
Client: “Right”.
Member: “But they don’t flood it, they say the cameras are watching.”
Client: “They don’t know you, maybe they were afraid. Something might be illegal.”
The network’s activities were suppressed by ΔΑΟΕ units. To the point 13 people detainedincluding the proposed supervisor. The case materials also include five established memberswho are wanted.
As part of the operation 16 gas stations was license revoked for two yearsafter which they were sealed relevant departments Α.Α.Δ.Ε..
It is estimated that cumulative damage to consumers from underfilling of fuel, as well as income of a criminal organization for a period of about five years exceed 25 million euros.
