Rhodes: 48-year-old massage therapist to stand trial for attempted rape of tourist


48-year-old massage therapist from Rhodes will stand trial on charges of attempted rape regarding a tourist. The incident, according to the case file, occurred July 27 in a hotel massage room in the area Kolymbia.

The accused worked as a massage therapist under a fixed-term employment contract in a company that operated health centers on the territory of a hotel complex. Criminal prosecution has been initiated July 29with appointment main consequence.

On July 31, the accused were elected restrictive measures: ban on leaving the country and mandatory personal appearance at the police station at the place of residence once a month.

After the incident, the accused left the hotel premises. Victim filed a complaint, after which a criminal investigation was launched.

Rhodes Criminal Justice Boardhaving studied the case materials, came to the conclusion that there was sufficient and serious signs of guiltwhich became the basis for sending the case for consideration to Competent mixed jury.
