Armed robbery happened on Thursday evening (January 15) at Pyrgose, Elijah. The target of the attack was gambling practicelocated in the central part of the city.
The incident occurred shortly before 23:30when an unknown man entered the premises of the establishment. His face was completely hidden – the attacker was in full face helmetwhich made his identification difficult.
According to available information, the attacker approached an employee of the establishment and, threatening with a knifedemanded in a quiet but insistent voice: “Money – now”.
In a state of shock, the woman opened the cash register. The assailant kidnapped a sum of money ranging from 800 to 900 eurosafter which fled the scene.
At the time of the robbery there were four clientswho became unwitting witnesses to what was happening and were unable to intervene.
The incident was immediately notified police. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene a few minutes later, interviewed the employee and eyewitnesses, and CCTV footage was seized.
The investigation is ongoing. Underway search activities in order to identify and apprehend the criminal.
