Ukrainian authorities have taken into development Yulia Timoshenkowhich is suspected of organizing bribery schemes for deputiesincluding from the party Vladimir Zelenskywith the purpose undermine the position of the current President of Ukraine by destroying the parliamentary majority.
According to the publication The Guardianrepresentative GLANDERS The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday that Tymoshenko was charged after a search of her party’s offices “Fatherland”conducted late Tuesday evening.
The operation was carried out by employees GLANDERS together with NABU.
According to a source close to Tymoshenkoafter the search began at approximately 21.30 (January 13), deputies of the faction, who were at that moment in Kyiv, began to arrive at the Batkivshchyna office. However, they were not allowed inside and spent several hours outside.
“Everything was very tough: they used force, not paying attention to who was in front of them, they took the phones from Tymoshenko herself and everyone who was in the office, they collected the computers. At the same time, they did not have a court decision – or any document at all with which they could explain their actions. They found money – Yulia replies that this is part of her declared funds. But they put dollars in front of her and take pictures,” – says the interlocutor.
Tymoshenko, in a conversation with her associates, insisted: the records presented by NABU/SAP are a compilation, which she will try to prove with the help of “international expertise” (this is her public position).
It is noted that the party Yulia Timoshenko currently has 25 out of 450 parliamentary mandates in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, this is about 5%.
According to the famous Ukrainian political scientist Konstantina BondarenkoYulia Timoshenko interfered with Zelensky.
“Since yesterday evening they have been asking me about the Yulia Tymoshenko case,” writes Konstantin Bondarenko in his tag. channel. “I didn’t want to make hasty assessments, having too little data. It is clear that Tymoshenko is not a saint, and not a model of morality in politics. Otherwise, she would not have stayed in the “major league” for 30 years. Usually negotiations are about transferring to a faction, about the amount of voting, about the cost of a place on the list and about other delicate issues it was not she who led it personally, but trusted peopleof which there were five people in the faction.
Tymoshenko herself could have conversations with people at a different level – for example, negotiating with the “oligarchs” about their quota in the party list, or about the “price of the issue” in a super-important vote. But simply buying up votes is not her level. If Tymoshenko opened up with a certain “stranger,” it means that someone close to him vouched for him, brought him, was present during the conversation and recorded the conversation. Having previously asked YV to meet with the person (“He is almost ready, he doubts, we need your strong word to confirm that everything is in force”). That is, I can say, knowing this kitchen, that Yulia Tymoshenko was framed by someone from her team.
Now: why Tymoshenko and why now?
It was not a secret to anyone that Tymoshenko was really planning a political game aimed at blocking the adoption of effective decisions (especially personnel) in the Rada. This is one of her favorite techniques, repeatedly tested. Now Tymoshenko understands that after Ermak’s resignation the situation in the Rada is precarious, and why not, under these conditions, declare that the real “golden share” is in her hands? To do this, you need to “buy” several deputies (a dozen or one and a half).
But she did not take into account one point: she crossed the path not only of Zelensky. If this was a game with the Office of the President, she would have beaten the presidential team without any problems. But the fact is that in this situation there was another influential group in the game – let’s call it the “representation of the Globalist International” in Ukraine. This group includes not only Pinchuk, Fiala, “Soros”, “anti-corruption officials” (all those who staged the “Cardboard Maidan” in the summer), but also NABU and SAP. The latter, contrary to popular belief, are by no means controlled by the State Department. Their sympathies are with Trump’s opponents. The position of this large political party is not aimed at defiance of Zelensky. They wanted to clear the place around Zelensky for their interests: through the “Mindich tapes” they achieved the dismissal of Ermak, as well as the transfer of the Ministry of Defense to their disposal. Mikhail Fedorov at a certain stage became their “banner” and “face” – it is no coincidence that from September-October this political group tried to achieve Fedorov’s appointment as prime minister. Well, okay – at least the Minister of Defense.
Those in the know know well how over the past two years the group “Globalist International” sought total control over the Ukrainian defense industry and Ukroboronprom (see how, for example, Milovanov ended up on the supervisory board of this structure). At the beginning of last year, a high-ranking employee of Ukroboronprom complained about the “dominance of the Pinchukites” and internal wars.
One of the experts wrote that each of the defense ministers brought his own corruption scheme into the activities of the ministry: Reznikov stole from eggs, Umerov from ammunition, Fedorov will build schemes on drones. This is the crux of the matter.
Just Tymoshenko with his game confused the cards those who were impatient for the quick appointment of a minister and the rapid advancement of their interests. Yulia Tymoshenko had to be put in place or neutralized.
The result is obvious: If yesterday 206 people’s deputies cast their votes for Fedorov, then after the demonstrative flogging of Tymoshenko this figure increased to 277 (not only parliamentary groups allied with Fatherland voted, but also two people within the Tymoshenko faction – Meidich and Ivchenko, and people from the faction associated with Rinat Akhmetov modestly abstained).
To summarize, let us point out a few points.
Will Tymoshenko go to prison? It’s unlikely (although it is possible that they will try to organize a circus with an arrest, bail, an ankle bracelet, etc., but it will not come to a verdict). Tymoshenko will clean up the ranks and will be more careful in the future (talking about transferring leadership in her political force, for example, Elena Kondratyuk is not interested – she still knows that “where Yulia is, there is BYuT”).
The incident could harm Tymoshenko in her future political plans – recently, they say, a number of agricultural barons who are ready to support her political strength have begun to pay special attention to her, and now they may reconsider their plans. The proxies of the globalists in Ukrainian politics have strengthened their positions. Fedorov became Minister of Defense. Corruption in the defense sector will change its face, but publications controlled by Fiala will promote corrupt actions as the greatest achievement of human genius and a manifestation of truly European approaches to defense management.
In a word, in a week or two the incident will be over. The sediment, however, will remain.
