54 year old manaccused of raping his two daughters in Messara, Heraklion, the day after his arrest, appeared on a television program and declared his innocence.
The 54-year-old man, who was brought to the court of Heraklion yesterday, Monday (12.1.26), was unable to convince the judicial authorities and, with the consent of the investigator and the prosecutor, was taken into custody.
“I’m innocent. We treated the children badly. Even government services could not cope with them, although they tried very hard. The accusation is false. As soon as the results of the DNA test are received, the truth will come to light.”“, said the 54-year-old man in the program “Truth with Zina” on the Star channel. “From the very beginning, we believed that this man was innocent of the rape charge. He is supported by the entire local community, both at work and in his village.
