Billionaire Ilyas Gimantutdinov died in Russia: The helicopter crashed after hitting wires


Tragic death The flight of the Russian billionaire’s private helicopter ended Ilyas Gimantutdinovfounder of a transport company Tattranskom. The aircraft crashed in the snow-covered Askhatly park in western part of Russia.

As a result of the disaster, two people died – himself Ilyas Gimantutdinov and an employee of his company Elmir Koniyakovwho was also on board.

The moment of the fall was recorded on video: the footage shows how Helicopter blades get tangled in power cablesafter which the car loses stability and goes into an uncontrolled rotation, falling to the ground.

The helicopter was flying low altitude and got caught on power lines, which was the immediate cause of the disaster. After the impact, the aircraft crashed into the snow-covered territory of the park.

We’re talking about a helicopter Robinson R44 Raven I – a model produced in the 1990s. According to Russian media reports, the car belonged to the company Tattranskom and, previously, performed unauthorized flight.

Later Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office published a video from the crash site, confirming that the helicopter was indeed entangled in power lines.

Local and federal services began investigationwithin the framework of which it is necessary to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy – from the legality of the flight to the technical condition of the aircraft and the actions of the crew.
