Putin called European leaders “pigs”

President of Russia Vladimir Putin made harsh statements against Ukraine And European countriesthreatening new military strikes in case of refusal of Kyiv and the West to accept Moscow’s conditions within the framework of the current peace talks.

According to the head of the Kremlin, if his demands are rejected, Russia will continue military actions.

“If they don’t want a thorough discussion, then Russia will liberate its historical lands on the battlefield.”“, Putin said in his speech.

In the same speech, the Russian President sharply criticized the leaders of European statesusing an offensive expression towards them:

“Everyone believed that in a short period of time the Russian Federation would collapse. European “pigs” immediately joined the work of the previous American administration, hoping to profit from the collapse of our country.”he said.

Putin also noted that, in his opinion, Donald Trump administration previously demonstrated readiness to find a peaceful solutionwhile current European leaders, according to him, show no interest in dialogue.

The Kremlin insists that, within the framework of possible agreements, Crimea And all territories occupied by Russia in eastern Ukraine were officially recognized as Russian.

In addition, Moscow demands expansion of the so-called buffer security zone along the border and Ukraine’s refusal to join NATOemphasizing that these conditions are considered fundamental.

Philologist Balditsyn: Putin humiliates Europeans, calling them pigs

Professor of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Doctor of Philological Sciences Pavel Balditsyn in conversation with “Gazeta.Ru” explained why Putin, and before that Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, used the term from the field of livestock farming.

“I think the meaning is simple – there is a big pig or boar who commands the herd. And the little ones listen to him. In this case, it is simply a humiliated position, some kind of humiliation. The word “gilt” does not have a negative connotation [в свиноводстве]. Look, you say: “boar”. As a term “male pig” does not have a negative connotation, but if they say about a person – “boar”, it will be a shame herebecause he is healthy and big. Gilt, I think it’s a small pig – no longer a suckling pig, probably a teenage pig, primarily male, and maybe female too,” said the philologist.

Balditsyn also explained how the term “gilt” could even appear in the political field.

“Naturally, this follows from the general position of our president. Back in 2007, speaking in Germany, he said that the whole world is subject to the laws of the United States and its jurisdiction applies everywhere. But now it’s clear that the countries of Europe are currying favor with Donald Trump, no matter how grotesque he behaves. And that’s why Putin called them gilts – these are piglets from about 20 to 50 kilograms,” – the professor concluded.

On December 17, Vladimir Putin, speaking at the Ministry of Defense, called some European politicians “pigs” who hoped for the collapse of Russia. Before this, the term was used several times by Medvedev – he has been doing this regularly since 2022.
