The first Greek H215 Super Puma entered the final assembly line


The first two Greek helicopters H215 Super Pumadesigned for tasks aviation fire fightingare on final assembly lines.

H215 helicopters are more than just aircraft: they are a vital investment in national resilience and strategy to combat increasingly severe fires caused by climate change.”.

He also thanked his partners in France And Greece for his contribution to the protection of people and natural landscapes, emphasizing that the country has become one step closer to strengthening its aviation response capabilities.

New helicopter fleet H215the first deliveries of which are scheduled for 2026is the key element National program “Aigis”.

The contract is implemented according to the model “state ownership – contractor operation” (GO-CO), forming long-term and cooperative approach to carry out critical missions. The project is supported European resources and experienced fire extinguishing operators, including Airtelis And SAF Aerogroup.

H215 belongs to the family Super Puma. More than 1,100 helicopters of this type, the total flight time of which exceeds 6 million hours.

The helicopter is equipped four-axis autopilotborrowed from H225which allows you to perform fire operations both day and night.

H215 is widely used worldwide for fire extinguishing applications due to flight range about 540 nautical milesautonomy more than two hoursas well as the ability to transport up to 19 firefighters and execute discharges of over 4 tons of water in one working cycle.

Being one of the few heavy helicopters in serial production with civil certification and the possibility of equipping as spillway bucketso built-in fireproof tankH215 is considered optimal solution to strengthen aviation fire-fighting equipment of any country.
