Brutal attack on a city bus driver happened early in the morning during Zografwhen an ordinary traffic conflict escalated into beating with injuries to the face and teeth.
According to media reports, 39 year old driver city bus route 230 (“Acropolis – Zografou”) was the victim of an attack by a car driver on the street Iron Polytechnic.
According to reports, after the incident the victim was transported by car EKAB V CAT hospitalwhere he was given first aid. Current attacker wanted by police.

The bus driver described the incident in detail in a commentary to MEGA TV channel: “I left the final stop on Iroon Polytechniu Street. I noticed that the driver of a car was following me in a frantic state. He stopped his car and started yelling at me to get out. I did this, trying to calm him down, and then he started screaming: “hit me, come on, hit me.” I didn’t react, and then the driver lost his temper and started punching me in the face. Immediately after the incident I called the police and EKAB and I was taken to the hospital. I have bruises on my face from the blows and broken teeth.”
According to already known data, the incident occurred approximately 5:30 amafter a verbal conflict over an alleged crime traffic violation. The driver of the car was reportedly furious that the bus driver didn’t turn on the turn signalafter which he attacked him and began punching him in the face and body.
The case raises further questions about the level urban aggression and worker safety public transportwho find themselves on the front lines of traffic conflicts every day.
