In Chinese Hangzhou Safari Park panic broke out after the trainer was suddenly attacked by bear. The incident occurred on Saturday, December 6, in the province Zhejiang and was filmed by visitors.
As can be seen in the footage, everything went calmly until the animal approached the site and did not knock the trainer off his feet. Other employees immediately rushed to his aid, using chairs and wooden sticksto push the bear back and break contact.
Zoo officials later stated that neither the trainer nor the bear were injured. According to them, the attack was caused by large bag with carrots and appleswhich was held by the trainer. The bear saw the food, became excited and simply tried to take possession of the treat.

The zoo’s official publication noted that the incident was a reminder of the need greater caution when interacting with an animal. Some time later, the administration published another video in which it assured that “the bear and the trainer made peace again”.
Despite the successful outcome, the incident once again raises the question of the safety of training and living conditions for animals, whose instincts remain unchanged regardless of the scenery.
