Cyclone Byron dealt a new blow to Thessalywhere a state of alarm was declared early on Saturday morning. Residents of the districts Larisa received a warning from 112 service due to river overflow Enipeaswhich overflowed its banks after prolonged rainfall.

“We are faced with the same thing again with the first rainstorm… There is a proven construction error here. Houses in our village have been flooded many times and will flood again“, a local resident said on ERT.
The message sent warns 112 residents to leave the area: “If you are in the settlement of Iperia, evacuate towards Farsala due to the overflow of the Yenipeas River. Follow the instructions of the authorities“

A village that has been sinking for years
