52 year old womanwhich the investigation calls head of a criminal organizationwhich distributed drugs with the participation of the group the monks were defrockedposing as active archimandritesduring her official testimony, completely denied the charges.
She stated that is a “consumer”and her contacts with three men in robes took place “by faith, not by deed”denying any role in coordinating or promoting drug trafficking. In her testimony, she emphasized: “I work and take care of four children and grandchildren. I’m not a drug courier and I don’t recruit people. I came to this temple as a believer. I helped there for some time, cleaning. Over time, I met a so-called priest. I opened up to him, told him that I was an addict and was trying to get out. He said that he was also a user, and gradually got me into it all again. He found my weakness.”
The defendant is trying to present herself as a victim of the scheme, claiming that the real “brains” of the group were three false archimandritesamong which the key role was played 46-year-old YouTube blogger. She stated: “I can tell you cases when these “priests” were looking for money by organizing illegal events. Over time, they demanded money from me, supposedly for the temple. I later asked to count part of this money against what I owed them for the “doses” they gave me.”
Parthenius Vezireas, who had previously been excommunicated from the Greek Church and announced to everyone that he had become an archbishop of the Old Calendarists.
He is known in Greece as a former model, food blogger and TV show character.
Advocate defendant, Christos Edras, said on Mega that his client completely denies the accusations: “She explained and proved how she was manipulated by “pseudo-priests” who used information entrusted to her during confession. She provided detailed information about their activities, and now the police and the court will trace their connections in the criminal environment. Tongues have been loosened, the truth will emerge.”
The key role in the group, according to the police, was played by 46-year-old Parthenius Vezireaswho had previously been excommunicated from the Church of Greece and, according to him, became an archbishop of the Old Calendarists.
Despite her statements, this not the first timewhen a woman is detained for drug distribution: in October 2023, she was already arrested as a member of a similar group. According to investigators, she controlled cannabis cultivation in a village in the region Phthiotidewhere the organization was looking for “cheap labor” for plantations.

One of false archimandritesinvolved in the case, confirmed participation in larger-scale operations: “I went with the “leader” and her accomplice to Evros to pick up and transport foreigners. They were navigators, and the priest who was detained was supposed to transport the migrants in a rented car.”
U 46-year-old defendant police seized several mobile phones. Crime laboratory experts extract all data – correspondence, images, records related to the activities of the group.
