In prison Trikala another bloody incident occurred: on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 13 28-year-old Afghan prisoner attacked with a knife 49-year-old Greekserving a sentence in the same institution.
According to the administration, the attacker struck three times before being instantly neutralized by security personnel.
The victim was urgently taken to Trikala General Hospitalwhere he was given first aid. After a medical examination, he was returned to the correctional facility. The source of the conflict has not yet been established, and the investigation is considering all possible versions, including personal conflict and disputes within prison groups.
The attacker was immediately detained and isolated, and the very fact of the attack caused alarm among the staff of the institution, since we are talking about a prisoner already known for his aggressiveness and previously known for violating the rules.
A preliminary investigation into the incident is being conducted Trikala Police Departmentwhich collects witness statements and analyzes CCTV footage to accurately reconstruct the chronology of events.
