Drug trafficking in Anno Liosia: police liquidated four “points” in residential buildings


Employees West Attica Crime Department carried out a large-scale operation in Anno Liosiaeliminating a network of drug dealers who were located in four houses.

As a result, they were arrested six people aged from 20 to 64 years old, another was detained for purchasing prohibited substances.

Drug dealers turned their homes into real fortresses: they installed metal doors, bolts, roller shutters and surveillance camerasto make police intervention more difficult. Every day dozens of customers came here to buy cannabis and other drugs.

The operation was completed November 3, 2025 with the participation of fighters OPKE and a canine group. During the raid 23 year old suspect tried to escape through the roof, but was detained. There are two accused in another house threw bags of drugs into the sewerhoping to hide the evidence.

During the search the following was confiscated:

  • 209.3 grams unprocessed cannabis (including 169.9 grams from sewer line),

How the drug trafficking network operated

According to the police, the suspects organized drug distribution in the area, using their own homes as sales points. Buyers came regularly, transferring money through specially equipped “windows”. The surveillance system allowed dealers to see the police approach in advance.

The investigation continues

According to the statement EΛ.ΑΣ.the detainees are accused of drug trafficking, storage and distribution of personal data. The case materials have been sent to the prosecutor, who decides on preventive measures. One of the accused is a local resident, previously convicted of similar crimes.

Athens police said the operation Anno Liosia will be part of an ongoing program to clean up suburbs where small-scale drug networks operate. More raids along the line are expected in the coming weeks Ministry of Citizen Protection.
