Monk Dosifei: “The Ukrainian schism upset God”


IN new interview on YouTube the elder calls to repentance and prayer for peaceemphasizing that only unity will heal the wound of Orthodoxy.

The Greek Orthodox Church publishes on its YouTube channel a second interview with Elder Dositheus, rector monastery Agia Skepi, Parapotamus of Rhodopol, Serres, after the great response it received first interview with the monk Dositheus, also broadcast by other branches of the Greek Orthodox Church abroad.

During the last conversation, the Elder touched upon questions of faith, unity and spiritual life, paying special attention Ukrainian church issuewhich he called “a deep wound for Orthodoxy.”

“What happened in Ukraine with the schism greatly upset God. Unfortunately, we also contributed. Recognizing a schismatic is the worst thing. There is an official Church, there is a Patriarch, and yet, a new schismatic situation has arisen,” he emphasized.

The Reverend emphasized that repentance – the only way to return and healing:

“I hope that those who created splitthey will repent, and we will also repent. When there is repentance, God sends His peace.”

At the same time, he called on believers to pray for Ukraine, speaking about a war on two fronts – spiritual and material, which harms Orthodoxy.

“There is nothing wrong with the repentance of any person, be it a Patriarch or a High Priest. Christ was the first to preach repentance to the great,” he emphasized.

An interview with Monk Dositheos is available on his YouTube channel, where the elder delivers a message of unity, humility and spiritual renewal, calling on everyone to become peacemakers and brotherhood in the Church.
