According to diplomatic sources, Russia has already transferred to Caracas transport aircraft IL-76 with weapons – including anti-aircraft and aircraft missiles air-to-air class designed for Venezuelan fighters Su-30MK2purchased from Moscow back in 2006.
Meanwhile in Caribbean region Tensions are rising. Despite the fact that the President of the United States Donald Trump publicly answered “no” when asked about his intention to strike Venezuela, leading American media claim that the decision on a military operation has already been made. According to their version, Washington is allegedly preparing to “put an end to the drug cartels” operating in the country.
Experts do not rule out that the current situation could develop into new Caribbean crisiswhere the interests of two superpowers – the USA and Russia – will collide. Moscow, apparently, does not intend to remain an outside observer.
