The police quickly arrived at the scene and detained the suspect. According to media reports, one person is seriously injured and is in the hospital awaiting surgery.
President Vučić: this is a terrorist act

President Serbia Aleksandar Vucic called the incident “a horrific act of terrorism against people and property that created a global threat.” He noted that “the final legal qualification will be given by the prosecutor’s office,” but politically he regards the incident as deliberate violence.
According to Vucic, Serbian security services have been put on high alert, and the authorities intend to “rigidly suppress any manifestations of extremism.”
