Weather in Greece: rains and thunderstorms cover the west of the country, on Crete up to +25°C

According to the forecast National Weather Service (ΕΜΥ) on Wednesday, October 22the atmospheric front will bring rain and thunderstorms, mainly in Ionian Sea and on western continental territories. Heavy rainfall is expected in places.

On the islands eastern Aegean and in Dodecanese – cloudiness and short-term showers, in some areas – thunderstorms. The rest of the country will host light short-term precipitation and at times denser clouds.

Temperature and visibility

Temperature background without significant changes: in the west and north – +18…+21°C (in some places up to +22°C), in the central and southern regions – +20…+24°Cand in Dodecanese and on Crete – up to +25°C. Morning and evening possible fogs and limited visibility.

Wind

Southern directions predominate at speed 3–5 Beaufort points. In the south and east of the country, the wind in some places increases to force 5.
