Türkiye and the US intend to ensure compliance with the agreement

President Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, October 14, made harsh statements, accusing Israel in systematic violation of the terms of the truce. According to the Turkish leader, Ankara and Washington are ready to jointly guarantee the implementation of the new Gaza peace deal.

“Israel has a poor record of observing ceasefires. But now Türkiye and USA We intend to ensure the implementation of this agreement,” he emphasized. Erdogan added that Western steps to recognize Palestine “should not be seen as symbolic gestures, but as building blocks of a two-state solution

A Palestinian state is “the only path to peace”

The head of Turkey reiterated that creation of an independent, sovereign and territorially integral Palestinian statefounded on the 1967 borders and with its capital in East Jerusalemis “the only path to sustainable peace” in the Middle East.

“These signatures under the declaration of the peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh not symbolic. They reflect our real commitment to peace,” Erdogan said, commenting on the document signed during the last meeting of regional leaders.

Gaza reconstruction and international assistance

The Turkish President stated that reconstruction of Gaza is a “matter of paramount importance.” According to him, Ankara calls for support from “everyone – from the Gulf countries to the United States and Europe” in the implementation of humanitarian programs.

“We will work tirelessly to provide housing for Gazans before the onset of winter,” Erdogan said. He specified that about 350 Turkish trucks with humanitarian aid have already arrived in the Gaza Strip in recent days, and new agreement between Hamas and Israel provides for daily receipt at least 600 trucks.

Türkiye strengthens international influence

Analysts note that Erdogan’s statements confirm Turkey’s desire to once again position itself as regional guarantor of peace and a mediator between conflicting parties. By emphasizing the role of the United States in the new format, Ankara is demonstrating its readiness to act in conjunction with Washington, but at the same time maintain its own initiative in dialogue with Arab countries.

Amid growing tensions in the region, the Turkish leader is trying to connect symbols of support for Palestine with pragmatic diplomacy, strengthening the country’s international influence and restoring the trust of Muslim states.
