Italian actress Claudia Cardinal died at the age of 87 years. About this writes the Italian news agency ANSA.
The material states that the actress died, “Surrounded by the love of their children”in the French Nemura, where she lived for the past few years.
Claudia Cardinal was born in Tunisia on April 15, 1938. In 1958, she debuted in Mario Monicelli’s film “Ordinary Unknown”. Later she worked with such directors as Lukino Visconti and Federico Fellini.
The actress received world fame after the role in Federico Fellini “8 1/2” (1963), and then in the drama of Lukino Visconti “Leopard”.
In the 1960s, she worked in Hollywood, starring Blake Edwards in the Pink Panther and in the “Once upon a time in the Wild West” Sergio Leone.
