In September Russian gas supply to Europe increased to 51.2 million cubic meters per day – Maximum from February 2025. The main increase fell on Greeceincreased imports by 80%.
The supply of Russian pipeline gas to Europe in September reached the maximum level since February this year. According to data EntsogGazprom on average pumped 51.2 million cubic meters per day on the European branch “Turkish stream”.
This is the second largest indicator in history after the record February 2024, when the export was 54.6 million cubic meters per day.
According to the information of European gas transmission systems, the increase in supplies did not affect Hungary, Serbia or Slovakia. The main area of growth was Greecewhich increased the import of Russian gas by 80% compared to August – up to 9 million cubic meters per day.
At the same time, there is a reduction in supplies in Romania – up to 3 million cubic meters per day. Earlier in the summer, additional gas in the Turkish Stream entered this country.
According to industry publications, probably part of Russian gas could be resold through Greek traders to Romania. In September, the volumes come directly to Greece, while the import applications remain high.
