This “national pension” was established by Law 4387/2016 and is included in the system of social benefits for vulnerable categories of the population.
The amount of payments
From January 1, 2025 409.13 euros. The amount follows the indexation of the main pensions and is provided on the basis of revenue, property and other criteria. If the recipient parallel has a small pension or benefit from abroad, payment is reduced or assigned partially.
Exceptions to calculate income
The total income does not include benefits for people with disabilities, unemployment benefits and special payments for patients with chronic renal failure in the terminal stage and for transplanted. Alimony of the maintenance paid to a minor child by a court decision or agreement is also excluded.
Who has the right
According to the law, on retirement without experience They can claim:
- Persons who have reached 67 years;
- Those who do not receive and have no right to retire from above 409.13 euros from Greece or from abroad;
- persons living in Greece at least 15 years (sequentially or between 17 and 67 years), of which 10 are immediately before submitting an application, and continuing to live in the country;
- persons with individual annual income to 4.320 euros or family – before 8.640 euros;
- persons whose real estate is estimated no more than in 90,000 euros;
- whose movable property (cars, motorcycles, etc.) has objective expenses no more 6,000 euros per year.
A pension without a work experience in the amount of 409 euros per month has become an important tool for supporting elderly citizens who were left without the right to a classic pension.
