Two Greek vessels left Siros as part of the “flotilla for gas”

“Oxygen” and “Helektra” – This is the name of two Greek ships, which left Siros Island on Sunday evening to join the international flotilla going to the Gaza Strip.

Target – break through the sea blockade of Israel and create, as the organizers say, “Humanitarian and joint corridor.”

Here is a shocking moment when the Oxygeno, the Greek Mission, goes in search of other ships of the world fleet to break through the inhuman blockade and transport drugs and baby food to gas. If half of our heart is here, then the other half is in gas.

Flotilla, known as Global Sumud Flotillacounts more than 40 ships with activists from 44 countries. Cargo – medicines and baby food. For participants, mission at the same time symbolic and practical: deliver help and draw attention to the tragedy of Gaza.

“Oxigono” and “Electra” – two Greek ships participating in #globalsumudflotilla and sailed from Ermopolis to Palestine.
Along with the Oxygono vessel, it was announced that the Electra ship with Greek and international participation would also leave Siros.
Hundreds of Syrians gathered in the port in front of the ships of solidarity, chanting the slogans against the genocide and saying goodbye to the crews!

“When we watch shots from Gaza and the western coast, it hurts us. We suffer because we see the dead children and adults. We called our boat Oxygenbecause oxygen is life, ”said Agisilao Kuluris from the initiative March to Gaza Greece.

In an interview with Tovima.com He associated the name with global and local tragedies – the last words of George Floyd “I can’t Breathe”, the death of migrants from Pilos and a catastrophe on the railway in Tempe. “Our requirement of oxygen is symbolically and literally-today is more relevant than ever,” Kuluris emphasized.

Call to solidarity

Another activist, Angeliki Savantoglunoted that the success of the flotilla depends on international support: “While our comrades go to Gaza, everyone can help – even the smallest to become part of this effort.”

On Sunday at the port of Siros, wires passed: dozens of supporters gathered to support the crews and recall the main slogan: “All views are on gas”.

The organizers turned to the world community calling for a safe passage for the flotilla: “We know that the Greek authorities will not make the path easy. We know that the Israeli authorities will attack us. The only ones who can guarantee us security are you. Keep your eyes to the flotilla, keep your eyes to the gas. ”

Israeli authorities warned the participants of the action, promising to put them in a concentration camp for support of terrorists. And in early September, the trees of the flotilla Greta Tunberg in two days twice attacked the drone in the waters of Tunisia.

Tunisian authorities said no attacks There were no drones …

Athenian news reported earlier that Environmental voyage Greta ended with deportation.
