“The event is absolutely unacceptable. The woman was already without a pulse, but this is not an excuse, and even more so not a reason to avoid responsibility. The debt of the system is to give everyone a chance for life “– said the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis In his comments on X (formerly Twitter).
According to him, the doctor on duty called all three drivers, but no one answered. As a result, the woman was taken away from the beach Katafalcom. The Minister said that an official investigation (Edε) has already been scheduled and that he “exhausts all the severity of the law” if the fault of the health center is revealed.
Georgiadis also emphasized that we are not talking about Ekab (Εθνικό κέντρο άμεσης βοήθειας – the National Center for Emergency Assistance), since the cars of the local center of healthcare are operating on Egin.
The conclusion is tragic: Even in the tourist season, residents and vacationers on the egina remain hostages of a chronic shortage of personnel and organizational chaos in the healthcare system.
