Deadly descent: Greek climber crashed on Montblan

Another tragedy in the Alps. A Greece citizen – a man of a little over thirty, who decided to go down alone and without insurance, died on Montblan. The result is predictable: a fall of hundreds of meters on the sidelor of Guther and Death.

Rescuers say directly: Fatigue, heavy backpack or banal inattention – All this could become fatal. But the key is the absence of a rope. A mountain of errors does not forgive.

Kuluar Guther (3835 m) was previously considered a deadly trap. More than a hundred people have already died here. But people continue to go – without preparation, without discipline, without realizing that every path here can be the last.

Against this background, the news sounds like a single choir of recklessness. In Crete, rescuers pull out the injured French tourist from the gorge. In Italy, the British is written out a fine of 14 thousand euros for ignoring warnings in the dolomite mountains. Europe is tired of the “single heroes” who consider the mountains to decorate for a selfie.

Bottom line: Montblanes took his life again. And again the reason is human self -confidence. In the mountains there is no place for romance without insurance.
