Serbia is ready to impose sanctions against the Russian Federation if it is given guarantees for adoption in EUsaid the Minister for European Integration of the country Nemania Starovich.
According to him, now Serbia does not support the EU sanctions against Russia because this would not affect the Russian Federation itself, and “the Serbian economy would have suffered very much.”
But if the EU gives firm guarantees of joining the block, and therefore about security and support mechanisms, Belgrade could impose sanctions against Moscow before joining, said Starovich.
We will remind, earlier President of Serbia Vuchich repeatedly stated that he did not intend to join sanctions against the Russian Federation. At the same time, his domestic political positions are not very strong now, since mass protests are organized in the country, as they say surrounded by the president, with the participation of the West.
Therefore, Vucich and his team are trying to maneuver and pursue a policy of “multi -vector”.
