Pursuit with shooting, an attempt to ram police motorcycles and a logical arrest of a 46-year-old man in Menidi.
On Sunday, at about 5:30 in the morning in this area there was a pursuit at high speed using firearms from the police, which ended in Patisia.
It began with the fact that police officers from the group διας, patrolling the Menidi area, gave the driver of the car a signal to stop for verification, considering it suspicious. However, he not only did not stop, but also increased the speed, trying to hide: first on Ionias Avenue in Menidi, and then moving to Kifisssos Avenue and leaving for Patisia.
The patrol διας, reporting to the operational headquarters and requesting reinforcements, did not stop the pursuit of the car and at the intersection of Liosion and Terty managed to drive it “into the corner”. The driver turned on the rear gear, pressed the gas and tried to ram the police and their motorcycles, but to no avail. After that, one of the police officers shot a car at the wheels of a car, which after a while stopped.
The driver was arrested and taken to the department of criminal investigations by P. Faliro, since the vehicle was previously stolen from the area of Flisvos Marina.
