The Greek National Travel Organization (GNTO), in collaboration with Netflix, released an exciting video that emphasizes the amazing nature, cultural wealth and cinematic attractiveness of Greece.
“Your Greece is your path”
The campaign called “Your Greece is your path” demonstrates magnificent landscapes from the capital's Athens to the ancient delf, as well as the picturesque islands of Paxos and Special. The video sequence is organically intertwined with the frames of popular TV shows and films of Netflix, shot in the country, creating a unique story about travel, culture and history.
The video demonstrates the atmosphere of life in Greece: friendly meals, emotional conversations at the table, live holidays. It shows both rich city scenes and a secluded natural beauty, conveying the idea of fullness of life and a feeling of freedom. The inspirational message ends the video – “Your Greece is your path”, which prompts everyone to find his own personal adventure in the country.
Netflix and Greece: Visual Symphony
The video project is saturated with references to the cult projects of Netflix, shot in Greece. Among them are “maestro in blue”, “ideal story”, “Beckett”, “Glass onion: The Secret“ Get Knives ”and the documentary“ Lesbos Lighthouse ”. These personnel become a background on which the spirit of modern Greece is revealed.
Particular attention in the video is paid to the series “Maestro in Blue”, which won the hearts of the audience first on the Mega TV channel, and then in the Netflix global library. It is known that soon the new season of this successful drama will be released.
The campaign was a continuation of the agreement between GNTO and Netflix, signed in July 2024. The purpose of the partnership is to support the tourism sector of the country using the popularity of Netflix and the coverage of its international audience.
Now GNTO is actively integrating the video into marketing campaigns aimed at promoting the country's tourist image. The use of modern communication strategies helps effectively promote Greece as an attractive and inspiring direction.
Campaigns that are remembered
The Greek tourist department annually develops new promotional strategies, taking into account the current trends in tourism, target groups and global realities. Particular attention is paid to aesthetics, style and modern means of communication.
So, in 2023, a video called “Greece: Experience that changed life” was released, in which Greece did not appear as a standard tourist direction, but as a place where you can experience deep, personal and transforming experiences.
In this video, the viewer is invited to plunge into the atmosphere of authentic Greece: a girl jumps from a cliff to the sea, a man collects cactus fruits, travelers wash food in sea water, participate in dancing with strangers and try watermelons right on the beach. All this is a symbol of uniqueness, immediacy and real life.
The message of the campaign is simple: rest in Greece is not just a vacation. This is an unforgettable experience filled with real emotions, tastes and meetings that remains with a person for life.
