In Pakistan "home" Leo attacked a woman with children (video)

The next attack of Leo on man, this time in Pakistan. The tamed Leo jumped over the concrete wall and attacked the woman and two children from behind.

The incident occurred on Thursday July 3 in the Pakistani city of Lahor, causing a public resonance. Leo escaped from the private farm household. Everything happened in a narrow alley, not far from the place of residence of the owners of the animal. Three victims were hospitalized, and the owners of Leo were arrested, CNN reports.

A woman and her children aged 5 and 7 years were injured in the face and hands, but are in a stable state. At the frames published by the police from video surveillance cameras, it shows how the lion jumps the wall and knocks the woman off her feet. Soon, a man runs out from behind the gate, allegedly one of the owners of the animal, and with some object in his hand tries to drive the lion. After that, the predator rushes further along the street where he attacks children.

According to Lahore Muhammad Feisal Camran, Deputy General of the Congress of the Police, three people were detained on Friday morning. The lion was removed and transferred to the conduct of the Wildlife Protection Service.

As it turned out, the owner of the animal did not have a license to maintain a wild predator, which is a direct violation of the law. In accordance with the Law on the Wild nature of Pakistan, a strict punishment is provided for the maintenance of wild animals without permission – imprisonment of up to 7 years or a fine of up to $ 17,500.

In Pakistan, the possession of wild animals, such as lions, is considered a status symbol, especially among the rich layers of society. However, the country's legislation requires a license, and the content of such animals within the city is strictly prohibited. Nevertheless, such incidents happen regularly, since the owners violate the rules, do not register animals and contain them in conditions dangerous for both others and animals themselves. Kamran says:

“This tragic case demonstrates how irresponsibly and illegally sometimes they contain wild animals – without licenses, permits, near residential areas, at the risk of citizens' life.”

In response to the incident of the Penjab province, they announced the beginning of a large -scale operation to identify and suppress the illegal content of lions and other wild animals. The capture of 13 lions and the arrest of five people who violated environmental legislation have already been reported. The campaign continues, and the government promises to bring to justice everyone who illegally holds dangerous predators.
