A tragedy of a trip to Greece turned out for a family from Romania – the head of the family was found dead in Samofrakia, at the Kremastos waterfall.
A 47-year-old man was resting with his wife and two children. On Thursday, he went to explore the Kremastos waterfall, one of the most impressive and complex waterfalls of Samofrakia. However, in the evening he did not return, and his wife turned to the authorities.
With the assistance of emergency medical care, fire protection and coastal protection, a rescue operation immediately began. Shortly before noon on Friday, the man was found dead, with a head injury, in the middle of the waterfall.
According to the participants in the rescue operation, he was tied with a rope – apparently, he tried to go down from the cliff. The body was delivered by boat of coastal protection to the medical center of the island where his death was ascertained.
