Agency under the leadership of the former deputy general prosecutor of the Supreme Court Haralambos Wurliotis He takes a new step in the fight against the shadow economy, expanding the activities in the field of cryptocurrencies.
For this, all modern electronic and other tools provided by European and Greek legislation are used.
As part of this initiative, the agency will work closely with other public services. Today, as it became known, a meeting took place with representatives of cryptocurrency exchanges and Securities Commission.
The purpose of the agency is to track traces of shadow capital and hidden ways of cryptocurrency movement. As representatives of the agency put it with a hint, in the future there will be a need to confiscate assets, including cryptocurrencies, due to new forms of economic crimes. Therefore, the agency should be prepared for such challenges.
