The terrible details of the traffic accident on Poseidonos in the Alimos area, not far from Kalamaki Avenue: “A taxi crashed into a garbage truck, crushing a woman.”
“Her death was probably instant”, tells Newsbeast.gr. According to the Greek police, shortly before 07:00 this morning, a taxi with a 23-year-old driver crashed into the back of the garbage truck, as a result of which the 65-year-old employee of the municipality was fatal injured. The taxi driver rode at high speed and tried to overtake, as a result of which she was “pressed” to the body of the garbage truck.
An ambulance team and a fire team consisting of 8 firefighters and three units of equipment that freed a woman went to the scene. A taxi passenger also suffered, it was taken to the hospital of the Red Cross with light injuries.
Police analyst Stavros Balaskas says:
“He rode recklessly in a straight line, he crushed her, her head crashed into the windshield. He suddenly saw the head of a dead woman next to him. The taxi driver was completely reckless. He probably fell asleep? ”
He explained that the dead woman was not on the steps of the garbage truck:
“She went out to pick up the garbage, and the taxi drove up and crushed her, holding it between the garbage truck and the car. Her death was probably instant. ”
Due to the accident on the road towards the pyrey, a mash formed, the movement was carried out only on the left side.
