The floods were caused by racing to a busy trading city, where farmers from the north of the country sell their goods to merchants from the south. The dead were reported on Friday by officials. According to the Red Cross, 80 people were hospitalized.
According to the latest data, 500 people are missing. Deputy Chairman of the Local Self-Government Musa Kimboku told BBC that rescue work was terminated, since the authorities no longer believe that someone else may be alive.
