The United States refused to resume air traffic with Russia, said the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov:
“The Americans so far believe that it is necessary to achieve certain shifts in the Ukrainian direction, and only after that we can talk about the air traffic. Although it seems to me that this would be a logical decision.”
Despite the war in Ukraine and sanctions pressure, the Kremlin is now looking for ways to establish individual channels of cooperation with Western countries. However, the United States rejected the Russian proposal to resume direct air traffic between countries. The White House insists that this should be preceded by at least a truce.
Recall that the air service between the Russian Federation and the United States completely ceased against the backdrop of a full -scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine in 2022. The abolition of flights became part of the global isolation of Moscow, to which dozens of countries joined.
Ushakov also said that there is no progress in a possible telephone contact between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, despite the conversations on this topic in Moscow:
“The conversation about this is ongoing, about this phone call. But so far the agreements have not been reached.”
Meanwhile, Trump intends to establish a truce in Ukraine until the end of April – during the first 100 days as president of the United States, Writes The Economist. In an oval office at a meeting with Italy Prime Minister George Melony, he said:
“The Russian response about peace in Ukraine will be this week, and this will be from this.”
Earlier we reported that US President Donald Trump for another year The ban extended to the input of Russian ships into American ports.
