Sudan officially recognized Kosovowhich became an “important diplomatic step”, announced on Saturday (12/4) the “president” of Kosovo Vyos Osmani.
In the video that she posted on social networks after a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan Ali Yusif at the Diplomacy forum in Antalya (ADF) in Turkey, Osmani confirmed that Sudan and Kosovo agreed to establish diplomatic relations:
“Sudan recognized the Republic of Kosovo, and both countries agreed to establish diplomatic relations. Thanks on behalf of the people of the Republic of Kosovo. This is the beginning of great cooperation! ”

President Kosovo expressed gratitude, thanking the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for “assistance” in recognition on the forum.
“We sincerely thank President Erdogan for making this important day possible for all of us, for our peoples, on the forum”, She said.
For his part, Yusif revealed that the recognition of Sudan occurred at the direction of Abdel Fatah al-Burkhan, who was headed by the Perebiral Military Council of Sudan, after a meeting with Erdogan. Sudanese Foreign Minister also expressed the hope that “This recognition will open a new chapter of cooperation between the two peoples.” The recognition of Kosovo, as well as the meeting of Osmani with the Turkish president, where they even spoke Turkish, were widely covered by the Turkish media.
Kosovo proclaimed its independence from Serbia in 2008, and more than 100 countries led by Turkey recognized its sovereignty.
