Near Busan in South Korea a large Russian refrigerated ship caught fire. The incident occurred on the morning of March 26, 8 km from the port of the gaphon.
As a result of the fire, six people were injured, reports Yonhap news agency:
“According to the coastal guard of Pusan, on the 26th day at 7:14 there was a fire on the Russian refrigerator vessel with a carrying capacity of 7534 tons, which was 8 km south of the port of the gaphon and was discovered by the patrol boover guards boat.”
According to the publication, the coast guard urgently sent 7 patrol ships, including rescue boats and a plane, to save 23 crew members and extinguishing fire. Six people were injured: two with heavy burns were evacuated by a helicopter, four with light injuries – a coastal rescue boat.
The fire was eliminated 40 minutes after its discovery. The cause of the accident is probably associated with engine breakdown. Coast guard is investigated by the incident.
