In February, inflation in the eurozone amounted to 2.3%


Inflation in the eurozone in February decreased to 2.3%, in January this figure was 2.5%. Services have risen in price, but practically did not increase energy prices.

Product prices in February increased by 2.7%. The growth of consumer prices in the countries of the eurozone has slowed up to 2.3%. On Wednesday, March 19, the European Statistical Department in Luxembourg slightly adjusted the initial assessment of this indicator, due to the expected level of inflation in Germany – 2.6% instead of 2.8%.

The lowest inflation is in France (0.9%), Ireland (1.4%) and Finland (1.5%). The highest rates of inflation in Estonia (5.1%), Croatia (4.8%) and Belgium (4.4%). In the European Union, this indicator amounted to 2.7%. It is still higher than the target indicator specified by the European Central Bank at the level of 2.0%.

Most of all in the countries of the Eurogroups, services for services (3.7%) and for food, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products (2.7%) have increased. Prices rose only 0.2%to energy, which became The reason for the decline general rate of inflation.

In January, consumer prices in the eurozone increased by 2.5% compared to the same month of 2024.
