The network of underground brothels was liquidated, where Ukrainians worked

Revelations that became public are shocking in the case of the network of underground brothels, which operated in Athens and Corinthia, exploiting at least 13 women.

Earlier, the police said that the criminal organization was liquidated by the Office for the Combat Crime, whose members were engaged in the trade and pimination of women.

Women who fell into the network of pimps were delivered from the countries of Latin America and Eastern Europe, including from Ukraine, with the aim of sexual exploitation – with the subsequent receipt of illegal profits.

To stop their activities, a police operation was carried out last Wednesday (March 12) in the districts of Attica and Corinth, during which 3 members of the organization and 3 of their accomplices were arrested.

Among the detainees were two leading members of the organization, age 38 and 51 years old.

In particular, the 51-year-old was responsible for the supervision of the houses of tolerance, and the 38-year-old was responsible for the operating expenses of these institutions, as well as for the selection of women to work in these establishments.

Information from well -informed sources indicates that the leader of the network was a family person, the owner of a large meat store in the north of Athens, and often made trips abroad.

The same sources report that they established some criteria for girls who will be recruited – in cooperation with the houses of tolerance, with whom they had connections – who were not limited only to appearance, but also concerned their subordination to the instructions of higher members of the organization.

On the afternoon of March 12, a police operation was carried out, during which three members of a pimp group were arrested, and a total of 13 women, identified and potential victims of human trafficking in each case, were provided and assisted.

The 38-year-old man promised foreigners legal work with high material reward. When they agreed, he paid for their flights to create debt obligations. Upon arrival in Greece, they were “enclosed” in various apartments in Kallite, Neos Cosmos and Exarchy.

Then they placed the women in the brothel to repay the debt. A 49-year-old man played a leading role in the operation of brothels, but kept away from their work, which was controlled by a 38-year-old “partner”. The 39-year-old word was involved in the operation of brothels in Corinthia.

Penetrates convinced women to provide them with their photos, supposedly to obtain legal work permission, which they used to draw up fake documents. At the same time, they recorded fictitious clinical examinations over the frequent periods of time about the state of health of the issued persons, on which there were fake signatures and seals of a dermatologist-venerer from the main health department. The relevant documents were stored in the brothels of Corinthia, in order to mislead the authorities regarding the legality of the work of women.

23,610 euros, two cars, mobile phones, computers, cameras and recording devices, numerous fake certificates of the right to engage in prostitution, handwritten notes on the work of public houses and names of foreigners, tax documents, photographs of women, identity and account certificates were seized from criminals.
