Prime Minister of Canada announced the start of the trade war with the United States

The Prime Minister of Ontario Dag Ford expressed his readiness to use even more stringent measures, including a possible reduction in electricity exports in the United States, which supplies about 1.5 million American consumers. The Minister of Energy of Ontario Stephen Lechch also proposed to introduce an export fee for each megavatt of electricity exported to the United States. Earlier, the White House announced the beginning of the process of introducing tariffs against Canada and Mexico.
