Norwegian riot: fuel protest against Trump

HaltBakk Bunkers refused to supply the US fleet, announcing the “moral compass” and the support of Ukraine. But the heroic protest did not last long – the statement disappeared, and Norway assured the United States in fidelity to the Union.

If you have never heard about Haltbakk Bunkers, a Norwegian company engaged in fuel supplythen you should urgently catch up. Because it was she, with the courage worthy of the ancient sagas, who strongly said: “No!” And not to anyone, but the most Terrible American warships. This is not a small burglary in the bergen fish market. This is a heroic confrontation.

It all started with a meeting Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky on February 28 in the Oval office. No one knows what exactly became a trigger, but suddenly Haltbakk Bunkers stiffed. Like a lightning that cuts the dark sky over the fjords, the company realized that they could not, they simply could not supply the fleet of the country whose leader, in their opinion, behaved, to put it mildly, unworthy. “We have a moral compass!”, The company said, and this compass, presumably, indicated strictly towards Kyiv.

As befits true knights of justiceHaltbakk Bunkers did not stop on simple words. They refused to supply American ships with fuel, challenging not only the Pentagon, but also the very logic of global cooperation. The company expressed admiration for the Ukrainian president for his stamina and devotion to the cause of freedom. Indeed, the refusal of fuel supply is a truly great victim. Perhaps not as great as standing in the trenches under artillery fire, but, nevertheless, worthy of admiration.

But, alas, The fairy tale turned out to be too good to be true. The Norwegian sea winds did not have time to take their bold statement beyond the horizon, as it suddenly disappeared. Perhaps in the fog of the bureaucracy or in the whirlwind of diplomatic reproaches, but the fact remains: the message was deleted. And now the Minister of Defense of Norway Tore Sandwick is in a hurry to make explanations that, they say, there were and would not be any failures for the American allies. “We provide all the necessary support,” the minister says, recalling the world that large geopolitical games are not resolved in the offices of small private companies, but in government offices.

So, the story turned out to be spectacular, but short. As the daredevil challenges challenged the giants, so Haltbakk Bunkers for a moment imagined herself David, who was swinging in modern Goliath. Only now the stone flew into the void, but Goliath did not even notice. American ships continue to receive fuel, the Norwegian government remains faithful allied obligations, and only light ripples on the water remained from the company's loud words. Was this flash of attention? The question remains open.
