The Federal Court in Washington ordered US President Donald Trump to cancel a decree that provided for freezing foreign assistance programs for 90 days, and resume programs.
At the same time, how reports The New York Times, Judge Amir Ali referred to “large -scale damage, which sudden closure caused organizations” abroad.
Representatives of the Trump administration previously explained that they need to stop such financing programs in order to analyze their effectiveness.
But judge Ali (as the publication clarifies, this is the “appointment” by Biden) that they “did not offer any explanation”, why the full stop of foreign assistance was the only reasonable decision and could not prove that they had a reason to ignore many small and large organizations who would be on the verge of closing due to the termination of funding.
The judge decided that by Tuesday February 18, the Trump administration must submit a report on the state of cases confirming the execution of the court order.
