In 2025, Russia will hold the International Competition “Intervation”. The CIS, Brics, SCOs and Latin America participate. A bright show and a new musical era are expected.
Intervation-2025: Moscow is preparing a scene for a global show. My business was simple – to read a fresh presidential decree, which said that Russia was going to hold a music competition. But when the news comes out of this, smelling of geopolitics, it is impossible not to get involved.
They called the competition “Intervation”the scene – Moscow and the region. The dates are still silent, but, according to the rumors, the performances will be held in September 2025 – about twenty countries from the CIS, Brics, SHOS and Latin America. And if you believe everything else, it will not be just a concert – it will be a statement.
Who will come? If you transfer from diplomatic to human, it means that there will be something eclectic on the stage: the Brazilian drums will be replaced by Chinese gusls, and after them someone from Iran will come out and sing so that even dials on the old watches freeze.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko is appointed to lead the process. A person, of course, is busy, but not one of those who are afraid of difficult tasks. However, keeping so many countries, styles and interests in one competition is almost like trying to cook borsch, Pael and Tom Yam in the same pan.
And here's the question: Why does Russia have its own Eurovision? Officially – for cultural exchange. Unofficially – the answer is obvious. When one door is closed, they open another, but with a large sign. Eurovision has long been a platform where, in addition to the songs, politicians are fighting, so why not do something of their own?
If someone thinks that this will be an ordinary show, he should re-read the world calendar of events. In 2025, Brics will have their own payment system, alternative forums are gaining momentum, and in the world they are already discussing the new architecture of international relations. The music festival in this series looks quite logical.
While officials decide what rules to write in the regulations, only one thing remains: wait. But wait with interest. Because if this contest passes as planned, then it will become not just a musical event, but something big.
