Another case of abuse of animals – in the Athenian district of Petropoli, they were scared away with hot oil.
In response to complaints from the residents of the district, the municipality decided to contact the police. “The guilty of disgusting torture of cats must be punished. The municipality expresses its indignation in connection with the terrifying incident of cruel treatment of cats that occurred in one of the regions of our city, which we learned about yesterday, February 4, from messages on social networks. Today we filed a complaint with the police department of Petropoli and notified the absolutely reprehensible incident prosecutor's office for the protection of animals. We called for an immediate investigation of a tragic event and an approximate punishment – on the basis of the provisions of the law – inhuman criminals. The municipality of Petropoli believes that respect for each living being is a sign of civilization, the moral and legal obligation of each person and organization. We unconditionally condemn all cases of cruel treatment and torture in relation to homeless and pets, and we will be adamant in relation to anyone who does not respect their life and well -being. We assure you that we use all the possibilities to hold the perpetrators accountable, and that we will do our best to ensure the protection of animals in our municipality. ”
